According to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), 78,711 international tourists visited Nepal in September 2025. This is 18.3% less than the same month last year but shows an 85% recovery compared to pre-pandemic 2019.

From January to September 2025, Nepal welcomed a total of 815,273 visitors, showing steady growth.

3. Australia – 6,824
4. China – 5,237
5. United Kingdom – 4,981

September marks the start of the autumn trekking season, with popular routes like Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang Valley and more trekking destinatioans in the Himalayas welcoming more trekkers.

NTB continues to promote safe and responsible travel, while Nepal’s tourism industry moves closer to full recovery.
