7 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a short and scenic adventure into the heart of the Annapurna Himalayas. Starting with a jeep ride from Pokhara to Ulleri, the trail takes you through the rhododendron forests of Ghorepani, the sunrise viewpoint at Poon Hill (3,210m), and the traditional Gurung village of Chhomrong.

From there, the path enters the beautiful Annapurna Sanctuary, passing bamboo and alpine forests, before reaching the spectacular Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). Surrounded by giant peaks such as Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna, the base camp offers one of the best mountain panoramas in Nepal.

On the way back, trekkers descend through Dovan and finish at Jhinu Danda, where a natural hot spring by the Modi River provides the perfect ending before returning to Pokhara. Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri (4–5 hrs), trek through forest to Ghorepani (2,874m).
Day 2: Morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) for sunrise, then trek to Tadapani (2,630m).
Day 3: Trek down to Kimrong Khola, climb up to Chhomrong (2,170m).
Day 4: Trek past Sinuwa, Bamboo, and Dovan to reach Himalaya (2,920m).
Day 5: Trek via Deurali and Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m).
Day 6: Sunrise at ABC, descend through MBC, Deurali, and Himalaya to stay at Dovan (2,600m).
Day 7: Trek via Bamboo and Chhomrong to Jhinu Danda (1,780m), enjoy hot springs, then jeep drive back to Pokhara.

 

7 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary in Details  (Start in Pokhara and finish in Pokhar, Nepal Pokhara)

The 7 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. This trek starts with a jeep ride from Pokhara to Ulleri, takes you through beautiful villages, rhododendron forests, and high mountains, and finally reaches Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). The return is through the natural hot springs of Jhinu Danda before driving back to Pokhara.


Day 1: Pokhara – Drive to Ulleri (4 Hours Drive– Trek to Ghorepani (2,874m / 6 hrs walk)

  • Morning drive from Pokhara to Ulleri by jeep (about 4 hours).

  • From Ulleri, start walking through rhododendron and oak forests.

  • Pass by Banthanti and Nangethanti villages.

  • Reach Ghorepani, a beautiful Magar village surrounded by forest.

  • Overnight at a lodge in Ghorepani.


Day 2: Ghorepani – Poon Hill Sunrise (3,210m) – Trek to Tadapani (2,630m / 6–7 hrs)

  • Early morning hike to Poon Hill (45 mins to 1 hour).

  • Watch the sunrise over Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Nilgiri mountains.

  • Return to Ghorepani for breakfast.

  • Start trek to Tadapani, walking through rhododendron forests with mountain views.

  • Overnight at a lodge in Tadapani.


Day 3: Tadapani – Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m / 5–6 hrs)

  • From Tadapani, descend through a forest trail to Kimrong Khola.

  • Cross the river and then climb uphill to Chhomrong village, the main gateway to Annapurna Base Camp.

  • Chhomrong offers close-up views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South.

  • Overnight at a lodge in Chhomrong.


Day 4: Chhomrong – Trek to Himalaya (2,920m / 6–7 hrs)

  • Descend stone steps to cross the Chhomrong Khola.

  • Climb up to Sinuwa village and continue through thick bamboo and rhododendron forests.

  • Pass Bamboo and Dovan villages.

  • Overnight at a lodge in Himalaya village, surrounded by forest and close to the river.


Day 5: Himalaya – Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m / 6–7 hrs)

  • Start trek early and pass Deurali village.

  • Walk through narrow valleys and climb gradually to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC – 3,700m).

  • Continue to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), the highest point of the trek.

  • Enjoy stunning 360° views of Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and other peaks.

  • Overnight at a lodge in Annapurna Base Camp.


Day 6: Annapurna Base Camp – Trek down to Dovan (2,600m / 6–7 hrs)

  • Wake up early for sunrise at Annapurna Base Camp.

  • Watch the golden morning light on Annapurna I and surrounding peaks.

  • After breakfast, trek back the same way through MBC, Deurali, and Himalaya.

  • Overnight at a lodge in Dovan village.


Day 7: Dovan – Trek to Jhinu Danda (1,780m / 6–7 hrs) – Drive back to Pokhara (4 hrs)

  • Trek down through Bamboo, Sinuwa, and Chhomrong.

  • From Chhomrong, descend steeply to Jhinu Danda.

  • Optional: visit the natural hot springs by the Modi River.

  • After lunch, take a jeep drive back to Pokhara (About 4 hrs).

  • Trek ends in Pokhara.
