 8 Days Poon Hill Trek-Starting in Kathmandu and finishing in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Explore one of Nepal’s most scenic short trekking routes with our 8-day Poon Hill Trek, starting in Kathmandu and winding through the heart of the Annapurna region. 8 Days Poon Hill Trek Itinerary in details with map as below

 

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Nayapul (1,070 m / 3,510 ft)

  • Drive Duration: 10 hours (Tourist Bus + Car transfer)

  • Overnight Stay: Nayapul

  • Highlights: Scenic drive through Trishuli and Marsyangdi river valleys, countryside views

Your Trekking  Guide will  come to your Hotel at 6:15  AM  in the morning at your hotel in Kathmandu for Transfer to Trek Start Point Nayapul via Pokhara city , its 10  hours Total  drive Hours.  and about 240 km.  road distance. Early Morning at 7 AM, departure for Pokhara by Tourist Bus, it takes about 8 hours depending upon traffic and road condition then Private Car drive to Trek start point Nayapul that takes about 2 Hours, overnight stay at Hotel in Nayapul

 


 Day 2: Trek from Nayapul to Ulleri (2,050 m / 6,725 ft)

  • Trek Duration:  6 hours

  • Overnight Stay: Ulleri

  • Elevation Gain: +980 m

  • Highlights: Suspension bridges, Magar villages, rice terraces, famous stone steps of Ulleri

Trekking (walking on foot) does start from Nayapul. The Trek will be continuing to Ulleri, its about 6 hours walk, overnight stay at Hotel in  Ulleri village.

 


 Day 3: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,860 m / 9,383 ft)

  • Trek Duration: 4–5 hours

  • Overnight Stay: Ghorepani

  • Elevation Gain: +810 m

  • Highlights: Rhododendron forests, panoramic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges begin to appear

 Day 4: Early Morning Hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) – Trek to Tadapani (2,630 m / 8,628 ft)

  • Poon Hill Hike: ~45 minutes up and 35 Minutes Down hike

  • Trek to Tadapani: 8 hours

  • Overnight Stay: Tadapani

  • Highlights: Sunrise over Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre; forest trail and ridge walk

 Day 5: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940 m / 6,365 ft)

  • Trek Duration: 4 hours

  • Overnight Stay: Ghandruk

  • Descent: -690 m

  • Highlights: Gurung village, traditional houses, museum, close-up views of Annapurna South & Machhapuchhre

 Day 6: Trek from Ghandruk to Landruk (1,565 m / 5,135 ft)

  • Trek Duration: 5 hours

  • Overnight Stay: Landruk

  • Route: Descend to the river, cross suspension bridge, gentle uphill to Landruk

  • Highlights: Peaceful village walk, terraced hillsides, river valley


Day 7: Trek from Landruk to Kande (1,770 m / 5,807 ft) – Drive to Pokhara (820 m)

  • Trek Duration: 6 hours

  • Drive Time: ~1 hour

  • Overnight Stay: Pokhara

  • Route: Landruk → Pothana → Australian Camp → Kande

  • Highlights: Final ridge views, forest walk, easy downhill finish at Kande

 

Continue Trek to Kande . Today's walk will be like for 6 hours. Day 8: Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,350 m / 4,429 ft)

  • Drive Duration: 8 hours

Our Guide will take you to tourist bus stand in Pokhara from where the bus leaves at 8 AM, and about 8 hours’ bus drive will bring  you back to Kathmandu city and then car ride to your hotel in Kathmandu. And finally the trip is completed. Have a good day.
